Help for Haiti

I love kids and their willingness to help others. Our elementary school is collecting shoes for people of Haiti and of course our kids came home and are asking all of us what shoes we can give to them. I am humbled by their willingness to give whatever we have to others. Lesson learned.

When it rains it pours! To get to our home from Overton you have to go through 3 flood zones. This is just the view from our house. The floods areas are worse, but we were still able to drive through them. But it is nice to have the moisture.

Happy Birthday Cecilia- big #10

Yet another year and now Cecilia is 10!! At 10:25 a.m. on January 18th she was born at a whopping 9lbs. 6 oz. She came out with tons of hair, really red and screaming! Louie said she was afraid that she would never eat again and that is why she was screaming. She is quite the girly girl. We went and had mom and daughter manicures and she is having devils food cake with strawberry icing. She is very helpful with everything and when she wants to stay up late all she has to say is that she will brush my hair...she usually stays up. She is loving and wants to do the right thing and expects that from others. We are so happy she is in our family!

Finally... Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to one and all. I can't believe that it has taken me this long to post for the new year. This week we are busy with Isabella's finals and then of course the others have homework to. Our goal this year as a family to to be consistent. Whether with scripture study, or prayer to homework. I read a great talk by our general authority Elder Bednar and he talked about consistency and how important it is for families and for children. Anyway, we are excited to start fresh again. Also next week is Cecilia's 10th birthday (where did the time go?). So of course there will be pictures then too.
